Mag. Danilo Borak graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna in 2008. Even during his studies, he began gaining experience in small animal medicine at one of Austria’s largest referral clinics.

From 2008 to 2012, Mag. Borak worked at the Hollabrunn Animal Clinic in the fields of diagnostic imaging (X-ray, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging), anesthesia, emergency medicine, and as a surgical assistant.

Between 2012 and 2016, he pursued surgical specialization through the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) Residency Program, also at the Hollabrunn Animal Clinic.

Since 2016, Mag. Borak has been working as an independent consulting surgeon. In addition to general surgery, his specialties include orthopedics, neurosurgery, and ENT (ear, nose, and throat) surgery. His expertise covers the treatment of various fractures, joint diseases (patellar luxation, cruciate ligament rupture [TPLO], elbow and shoulder arthroscopy, hip disorders), and intervertebral disc herniations, as well as numerous soft tissue procedures such as liver, heart (e.g., PDA, pericardiectomy), lung surgery, and surgical management of laryngeal paralysis.

Mag. Borak maintains ongoing scientific exchange with experienced surgeons and specialists from a wide range of disciplines both in Austria and abroad. Combined with his regular participation in advanced training and seminars, this ensures the best possible care for all his patients.
